Missy’s Classic Hot Wings

This weekend the Super Bowl takes place and what better way to enjoy the game than with some good food because the two go hand in hand!  Homes from state to state will be feasting on everything from sliders, nachos, to meatballs and plenty more. I wanted to share my recipe for my classic hot wings that are great for any and all occasions. You can enjoy alone or as a side with your favorite dish.

You’ll need

2lb. Chicken wings

1 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper

¼ cup of Texas Pete buffalo sauce

4 tbsp butter

2 tbsp honey

A Lil Extra

Ranch dressing for dipping

Carrot and celery sticks for serving

Let’s Cook

In large pan bring cooking oil to medium heat  While you wait clean and season wings (I typically use a lighter to burn any excess hair off before I season)

Cook chicken with no batter for about 20 minutes turning frequently

Preheat oven to 350 and while you wait, in a small pot, melt the butter then add honey and buffalo sauce

In a baking dish, add your wings and pour sauce then stir the wings to coat evenly.

Bake uncovered for 25 minutes

Let’s Eat

I think I’ll have a tomato and avocado salad on the side in addition to the carrot and celery sticks!

Enjoy with a side of ranch for dipping…delicious!
