Take at least 10 minutes at the start of each day to meditate. This not only helps calm anxiety and clear your thoughts freeing you from stress and worry but it also sets the tone for a positive day.

Find a quiet place, close your eyes, take three deep breaths in, exhale out four. Breathing exercises are a good way to relax, reduce tension, and relieve stress. Repeat this step periodically throughout the day, it definitely works.

As you meditate, find a space of gratefulness and begin to think of all of the “positives” that are constant in your life. At the time of losing Shae my two children were my reasons. I’ve since been blessed with another child, two bonus sons, a wonderful husband and my list increases more each day and yours will too.

Meditation has been proven to improve health by reducing blood pressure and cholesterol levels and often practiced by those that have been diagnosed with a chronic illness along with a good diet and exercise. It also includes relief from stress, depression, and chronic respiratory infection.

I challenge you to begin incorporating meditation at the start of every morning and witness the calm it brings to your day. Your mind and body will thank you…enjoy!
