Oftentimes we tend to focus more so on our strengths rather than our weaknesses and I too have been guilty of doing so.  It’s easier to acknowledge the good for fear of feeling “less than” by recognizing some things that we may not like about ourselves. The truth is, no one is perfect and it’s important to do a self evaluation often, as a way to improve and build character.

Shaping Your Goals

This is beneficial in creating the most effective path in reaching your goals.  In doing so you will be able to plan on obstacles before actually reaching them. This will increase your chances at being successful which in turn brings contentment and satisfaction.

Better Understanding Of Yourself

If you are only willing to recognize your strengths then you won’t be able to work on the things that may need improving.  We all should work towards being a better person in all areas of life,  Once you acknowledge your weaknesses you are opening the doors to becoming a better you.  This is beneficial in having healthy, meaningful relationships.

Build Self Esteem

Low self confidence is a weakness and may be hindering you in fully attaining happiness and loving yourself.  Once you can work through the things that you dislike most about yourself you can begin healing and building esteem which will eventually lead to more self love.

We all fall short in certain areas and that’s okay, it’s life.  Once we learn to acknowledge and be accepting of not just our strengths but our weaknesses. we can begin to build a stronger mental foundation. Rather beating yourself up for the things that you don’t like, train yourself to get excited on improving those things.

2 Corinthians 12:10

“That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
