I’ve never been one to push my beliefs or religion on others but I also don’t hold back in speaking on the power of prayer and just how good God has been to me.  I know for a fact that the only reason I have made it through the most difficult times in my life was by praying. Prayer can be attributed to healing, defeating enemies, changing hearts and providing wisdom just to name a few.  There is absolutely nothing that equates to the power of prayer.

As a young child I suffered a stroke which left me with semi paralysis to my right side only.  The doctors told my family that we would have to adapt to this new way of life. My grandmother knew otherwise so she and our church family at the time, were consistent in their prayers and claimed complete healing.  In less than one year I had regained full use of my right side and have encountered no medical issues associated with the stroke to this day. The power of prayer is real and because of it I was healed.

Mended Broken Heart

I lost my mom just a couple of months before my “16th” birthday and I thought that this would be the worst loss of my life.  Little did I know that years later I would also lose my first born daughter and my dad just three years later. I suffered from a great deal of anxiety and didn’t know how I would survive the heartache.  My faith in God is exactly how I made it through and continue to get through. The power of prayer is real and because of it my broken heart still slowly continues to mend.

I was a single mother for a very long time and raised my children on my own with very little help.  There were often times that I felt discouraged and just didn’t know how I would pay bills and keep food on the table.  My God provided me with all of the resources to supply all our needs and most of our wants. The power of prayer is real and because of it I was given wisdom which enabled me to make the best choices for my children.

Prayer can be applied to every situation and all areas of life. Be consistent in prayer and remember to pray for others as well. Give praise and show gratitude through the good and bad times. I don’t know where I would be today without prayer and my undying faith and I’m so very grateful. “When you are down to nothing, God is up to something.”

Never give up but rather stay prayed up because God’s grace and mercy will never fail.
