Happiness to me equates to all of the things that money can’t buy.  Everyone’s perception of “happiness” holds a different meaning.  However it’s times like these that bring us to the realization that things that truly bring us joy and make us smile are things that money can’t buy.

True happiness to me is waking up to my family with the sunlight shining on my face.  That first cup of coffee and taking a moment to admire all of God’s beautiful creations outside of my window brings me joy.  Simple things like going for a bike ride with my son as the fresh air brushes against my skin is enough to make me smile.

True happiness to me is getting that text or phone call from my adult children just to let me know that they are thinking of me.  My daily chats with a couple family members and best friend, sharing laughs over the simplest things makes my heart smile.

True happiness to me is that kiss on the forehead from my husband as he tells me how much he loves and appreciates all I do.  Nothing compares to the joy I feel playing games and dancing with my family to some of our favorite songs because music makes us all feel good.

Being blessed to wake up another day with so many uncertainties in the world is what true happiness means to me.   I’ve never been impressed with material things and believe that if you are truly happy within and appreciate the little things that you have then the big things have a way of working themselves out.  Nothing brings me happiness more than the love I feel from those that I love the most and you can’t put a price tag on that.

“Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything it is.”
